Lab grown diamonds are (you guessed it) grown in a lab. It starts with a small sliver of chemicals, called a diamond seed. It's then exposed to high temperatures and a carbon coating is added, all to help the lab grown diamond crystallize as it grows.

ARE LAB GROWN DIAMONDS SYNTHETIC DIAMONDS?

Simply put: nope. Lab grown diamonds have the exact same chemical composition and crystal structure to Natural diamonds. Synthetic diamonds (like cubic zirconia) are made of different materials than Natural and lab grown diamonds and are easily distinguishable from both.
