They say that diamonds are a girl's best friend. And I wholeheartedly agree. They say that your wedding day is your day to shine, sparkle and feel like a princess. And again, I wholeheartedly agree. But on my wedding day, I decided that I wanted to give each of my bridesmaids a unique gift: diamond stud earrings. Why? Because they deserve it.

My bridesmaids spent countless hours accompanying me to dozens of bridal shops as I obsessively searched for the perfect dress. When I wanted to cut wedding costs by making my own invitations and party favors, they stuffed envelopes and filled jam jars without ever uttering a complaint. They threw me a fantastic bridal shower and my bachelorette party was fun and relaxing. On my big day, I knew they would be supportive, caring and help get the party started.

As I tossed around a few ideas for gifts for them (beauty baskets, a pashmina and a nice bracelet), I looked down at my engagement ring and thought to myself: what if I got them diamonds? At first, I thought the idea would cost me a small fortune. But I did some research and found out that I could get beautiful diamond earrings for just slightly more than what I was already expecting to pay for my bridesmaids' gifts. I ordered them online and when they arrived, I knew I had made the right decision. This was especially confirmed when I gave them to my bridesmaids on my wedding day as we were all getting ready together. One by one, I saw their jaws drop as they opened the boxes! They couldn't believe their eyes!

Today, any time we get together and they wear their earrings, we sit back and reminisce about the day they received the earrings and it always brings a smile to my face. There was no better way to thank them for their boundless help and years of friendship.
