Gulnara Karimova, daughter of the Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov, will be launching a jewelry line for Swiss company Chopard.  Karimova, 37, is Uzbekistan`s permanent representative to the United Nations.  She was educated at Harvard and moonlights as a pop singer, performing under her stage name GooGoosha.

The jewelry project, called "Guli for Chopard," is set to be presented next week at the World Watch and Jewelry Show in Basel, Switzerland.  Proceeds from the jewelry project will go to fund charity projects for children in Uzbekistan. 

This isn`t Karimova`s first foray into the business world: she has her own brand, Guli, which includes clothes and interior design items.  Karimova has frequently stated that jewelry design is one of her main hobbies.
