The key to looking young and beautiful on your wedding day is pre-preparation. Don't expect to wake up the morning of your wedding looking like a supermodel. Getting your hair and makeup done on your wedding day is necessary, but not enough to make you stand out in a crowd among other brides. Beauty takes work. The earlier you start, the better.
Check out these five pre-wedding beauty tips to help you stun your groom and guests.
1) Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! Dry skin makes you look at least five years older and doesn’t allow for makeup to smoothly apply to your skin. Be sure to moisturize your face, hands, and body for at least a month before your wedding day. And don’t forget your neckline!
2) Get Enough Sleep! Don’t lose sleep over unimportant details surrounding your wedding. Sure, it may be stressful to have to balance wedding drama, family demands, and décor dilemmas, but it’s not worth getting wrinkles over. Brides underestimate the importance of sleep to glowing skin and looking radiant.
3) Use teeth whitening strips! Teeth whitening strips are an inexpensive method of insuring that your pearly whites sparkle on your wedding day. Go to your local drugstore for a selection of reasonably priced teeth whitening sets. You’ll feel like a celebrity with your new white teeth.
4) Get a haircut at least six weeks before your wedding day. You need to make sure your hair is healthy, shiny, and free of split-ends. You don’t want to make an extreme hair change the night before. Getting it cut beforehand is a safe way to prevent a haircut mishap. The only thing you should be doing with your hair the day of your wedding is letting a professional style it.
5) Stay out of the sun! Especially if your wedding is in the summer time. Many brides have experienced the horror of a sunburned neck or peeling skin on their wedding day. While it’s fun to tan with your friends at your poolside bachelorette party, it’s not worth the unsightliness of red irritated skin. Save the tanning for the honeymoon.
There you have it. You’re five steps away from looking your bridal best and feeling like a million dollars!
