If you're looking for your soul-mate and want to get married, here are some helpful first-date tips. Follow these simple dos and don’ts and you just might find an engagement ring on your finger!
DO wear comfortable shoes
There’s nothing more annoying than being on a first date in uncomfortable shoes. Leave your 5 inch high-heels for another night. Instead, whip out your favorite pair of flats and allow your feet to enjoy the date as well! Where in the Dating Rule Book does it say that you have to leave a date with blisters and bleeding toes?! Remember, comfort always comes first!
DON’T Facebook stalk before the date
Sure it’s OK to check out your date’s profile picture, but don’t go overboard. There’s no need to browse through every album and read every one of his wall posts. Dissecting your date's Facebook profile too much will give you a false idea of who he is and influence your first impression of him. Believe it or not, people dated long before Facebook and Google and still fell in love!
DO be open minded
It’s important to come to a first date with an open mind and heart. Ask anyone who has been in love and he or she will tell you how unexplainable it is. You never know who you will fall for and when. Don’t set too many limitations regarding whom you will and won’t date. Forget the rules and stereotypes you’ve internalized over the years— just allow yourself to let loose and open your mind!
