Facebook Flirting: Here's How!

Facebook isn’t only a place for keeping in touch with friends, it’s also a place to meet guys, get a little flirty and possibly even engaged. It’s true that the buzzing social network often gets a bad rap when it comes to dating and forming relationships, but I think it’s actually a great forum for meeting potential partners. I can’t tell you the amount of times I spot an adorable guy while browsing through a friend’s profile or how many times a “suggested friend” catches my eye. Everywhere I go I hear stories about couples who have met on Facebook and sometimes eventually tied the knot. Sure it’s not an exotic beach resort off the coast of Italy, but really— who cares where you meet the love of your life?

Facebook stalking only, isn’t enough. At some point or another you have to learn the art of Facebook flirting to actually meet and secure your online crush.

Here are a few tips on how to improve your Facebook flirting skills:

Don’t wait too long to friend request: If you meet a guy or girl you’re interested in, don’t wait too long to request their friendship. It’s not desperate or pathetic to friend them a day or so after meeting them. If you wait too long they may forget about you or get distracted by someone else they meet elsewhere. Don’t hesitate, friend request!

Be straight up: Once your love interest has accepted your friendship, no need to write cryptic indirect messages. If you’ve already met your facebook crush, write that you enjoyed speaking to him or her. Offer to hang out again the next time he or she is in the area. You can even leave your phone number if you’re feeling extra daring. If you haven’t yet met them, wrte a message saying that you thought they looked cute and wanted to say hi. Nothing is more attractive than going for what you want!

Add photos: There's no better way to draw attention to your profile than by adding cute pictures of you and your friends. Don’t post too many pictures since you don’t want to look like a Facebook freak or photo-aholic. It’s totally safe though to share a few photos in which you look your best. You never know who is going see them!

There you have some of the best Facebook flirting tips I’ve picked up along the way. While I am aware that Facebook is an utter waste of time, I think I’ll keep flirting with the hope that one my thousands of friends just might be my future husband.
