Also part of this collection is the Diamond Rain Lighter, made of Rhodium-flashed 18-karat white gold.  It is set with 1098 diamonds totaling 12.1 carats.  While only 352 of these were made, it is less costly at only $76,000.  Each lighter is meticulously worked to not only have the signature Dupont clean lines and infallible mechanism, but to also make a "cling" sound when the cap is opened.  If the "cling" is not right, the lighter will be reworked, regardless of how long it takes, until the sound meets the Dupont standards.

The lighters in the Prestige Collection also have matching fountain pens.  For a match worthy of the Ligne 2 Champagne Lighter, Dupont created a solid 18-carat white gold piece with rhodium trim and 502 brilliant-cut diamonds.  This masterpiece sells for $74,000.
