Your wait staff can time the delivery of the food so that it doesn`t arrive when you are presenting the ring unless, of course, you want witnesses!

Immediately following a special event. Gathering together with several generations of family members can serve as a reminder to you both that marriage signifies the continuation of all that is good in this life. On the other hand if all you have left for family is her divorced stepfather, you may want to choose another time to propose. Seriously, once the crowd has left and you`ve had the chance to spend time alone, proposing marriage will seem almost second hand. Not quite, but close!

Ultimately, you can determine when the time is right by gauging her mood and the setting you are in. If you are uptight or nervous, don`t worry: she`ll soon forget everything else as she realizes that you`re there for her now and will be there for her always.
