The Rainbow Room will be the site for an awards breakfast sponsored by the International Gemological Institute (IGI) in honor of New York`s Diamond Dealers Club`s 75th anniversary. The breakfast will be the beginning of a daylong celebration on May 16th and will start at 9:30am. Reservations are required.
IGI president and CEO Jerry Ehrenwald said, "We are pleased to be serving the diamond community within such a respected and enduring organization. We are proud to sponsor this event and pledge continuous support in the future." In March IGI opened an office at the Diamond Dealers Club.
"We are very thrilled to be celebrating our 75th anniversary and as the `voice of the industry,` we are particularly grateful to be honoring our longstanding members and business leaders for their immeasurable successes within the industry," said Jacob Banda, president of the Diamond Dealers Club. Awards will be presented to "longest standing" Diamond Dealer Club members as well as distinguished members of the diamond industry worldwide.
The day will also include a noontime lunch and ceremony at the Diamond Dealers Club and an evening celebration back at the Rainbow Room to begin at 6:30pm. Contact the Diamond Dealers Club for more information or to make reservations.
