Using nothing but personal charm, a thief swindled approximately $42 million in diamonds from a bank in Brussels earlier this month. After burgling safety deposit boxes at an ABN Amro bank in Antwerp`s diamond district, the conman made out with the diamonds without even turning heads, according to the Independent. The thief posed as a successful businessman, befriended the bank staff, and won enough confidence over the last year to gain access to the bank`s vault. Now the staff is dumbfounded as to how they gave a man with a fake Argentine passport an all-access pass to their valuables. Moral of the story: only trust men who are giving you diamonds, not taking them away!
