Today I am going to discuss the inherent difficulties of finding a clear path through the thorny thistles of modern life. Simply put, we live in an era defined by complex ideas that we don’t even begin to try and grasp, yet alone comprehend. We love fiercely, but often blindly, and we end up looking for missing spiritual limbs amongst a rubble of strewn bodies. In search of a diamond in the rough, we excavate all but ourselves until everything that surrounds us proves to be hollow, lifeless earth and we are still perfect. We eat what we are and, thus, we are what we eat. We sit planted in chairs, drink too much coffee and dose ourselves with sugars all day just to keep running in a circle that we call regretfully call progress. All in all we are unaware of all that we are unaware of – a very complex problem with a very simple solution. What is the solution, you ask? Simple mindfulness. Becoming aware that we are everything that we say and do and make and think, and focusing on what exactly it is that we say, do, make and think. Love is always a hero, but love must be defined as a real thing for it to carry us across the threshold of possible outcomes. We all serve someone but, really, we only serve ourselves. Be the person that you imagined yourself to be when you were everything you needed to be. Obey the creative instinct and the gut and the intuition and the moral imperatives that cast a wide shadow across the landscape of your waking hours. Dream big of love and the sea and the sunshine that brings warmth to the ocean in your belly and the waves in your soul. Uncover yourself often and discover yourself always.
