Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are getting serious! On Sunday, the Notebook actor was spotted introducing his mother, Donna, to Mendes. Meeting the parents is a big deal! We have a sneaking suspicion Gosling is shopping around for engagement rings and getting ready to propose!

How did Gosling, his mother and Mendes bond? After walking the streets of Manhattan, Gosling and his mother met up with Mendes at an AMC theater uptown. "They all hung out and went to the movies together," an onlooker told PEOPLE. "Ryan and Eva seemed very happy."

Earlier that weekend, Gosling, 31, and Mendes, 37, flew from Los Angeles to the Big Apple together.
"They kept kissing and hugging while they waited to board their flight," said a source who saw the couple at the Los Angeles International Airport. "Eva looked gorgeous and kept smiling."

And of course, Gosling and Mendes didn’t forget about the traditional New Year’s kiss. At around midnight, the lovers got passionate as they waited for a cab outside Manhattan's Bowery Hotel

"While they waited for a cab outside the hotel, they kept kissing," an onlooker told PEOPLE. "They both looked very happy."

Gosling and Mendes met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines and have been dating ever since. On set, there chemistry was undeniable.
"There’s always been this strong chemistry between them…this was just a matter of time!” a crew member said of the couple.  

The duo first went public last Labor Day Weekend, when they held hands at Disneyland. “They were very playful. Eva was skipping around like a little girl … She would lean into him and she held his arm the entire time,” an observer told Us Magazine at the time.
