The man who found Bianca Jagger`s platinum ring is taking her to Austrian court for failing to pay him the reward money.

Reinhard Ringler found Jagger's platinum ring – worth 200,000 euros, or approximately US $250,000  – last year in front of a Salzburg hotel.  Ringler says that he gave the platinum-and-aquamarine ring to his daughter because he thought it was worthless.  Later, he realized the ring`s value when he saw reports of Jagger`s missing platinum ring on television. Ringler then returned the platinum ring in early September.

According to Austrian law, Ringler is owed 5% of the value of the ring (10,000 euros).

Bianca Jagger, the human-rights activist and former wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, designed the platinum ring herself.  Jagger claims that Mr. Ringler took too long to return the ring and is therefore not entitled to the reward.

Jagger`s lawyer says that Jagger suggested an alternative, offering to pay 9,000 euros to Amnesty International and 1,000 to Ringler`s daughter.  But Ringler refused, and the case will go to Austrian civil court in May.
