Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott and drummer Chris Tyrrell are finally married! The couple exchanged vows before an intimate crowd of close friends and family in Upstate New York on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
In a video intended for fans, Scott and Tyrell shared the sensational news.
"I'd like to introduce you to Mrs. Hillary Scott Tyrrell," Chris, who proposed at sunset last Fourth of July, exclaimed in the home made video posted to Lady Antebellum's official website.
"We got married!" Scott, 25, added as she flaunted her platinum wedding ring. "We just wanted you to hear it from us first. We love you. We're so excited to be starting our life together and we just had to let you in on the exciting news."
The video features images of Scott in her Vera Wang strapless, crystal and pearl beaded wedding gown. Scott also wore a hand-cut Chantilly lace veil and held a bouquet of white flowers. The groom wore a spiffy gray Ermenegildo Zegna suit and tie.
In July, Scott sat down with PEOPLE talk about her engagement.
"Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed," she shared. “Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and — in our workout clothes — he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together."
"There is so much excitement at the beginning of a new relationship...This song is about one of those times when your brain kicks in and tells your heart, 'Good things are worth waiting for,'" the country singer told Billboard later that month.
Scott and Tyrrell first met 2010 while touring with legendary country star Tim McGraw. Looks as though their first peck was more than “just a kiss”!
