U.S. Marine Cpl Kelsey De Santis finally shared all the details about her big date with Justin Timberlake! The combat instructor, who asked Timberlake on YouTube to accompany her to the Marine Corps Ball in Richmond, Virginia, appeared on Tuesday’s Today show to tell America about her experience. She didn't leave the date with an engagement ring, but she still had the best time!

"It was wonderful. A really good experience," De Santis said blushing coyly. "He had a really big smile on his face, and so did I."

De Santis wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the date. Timberlake posted on his personal website how touched he was by their meeting.

"What I didn't know was how moved I would be by the whole experience," Timberlake wrote. "I say: Send your thanks. Do it however you can. Write a letter, type an email... Hell, buy 'em a beer next time you run into someone from our Armed Forces in a bar. When they say thank you for that drink that cost you 3 bucks, they'll mean it. They won't take it for granted and, they won't forget it,” the former 'N Sync member added.

He even went as far as to call DeSantis his hero and thanked her for extending the invitation.

In response, De Santis thanked Timberlake for supporting the troops and all those in uniform.  "You could see [Justin] genuinely cared about what he saw," she said.

What a touching story. It’s so nice to hear that celebrities like Timberlake take time out of their busy schedules to acknowledge those who dedicate their lives to serving America.
