Celebrity marriages are infamous for lasting just about as long as it takes to say “I do”. It’s no longer a surprise to hear that a celebrity couple is getting divorced only a few days after tying the not-so-tight knot. That’s why news of Kim Kardashian’s recent split with Kris Humphries didn’t exactly catch us off-guard. It did, however, get us thinking about Hollywood’s shortest marriages and what could have possibly gone wrong!

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ 72-day marriage is generating the latest buzz. The reality TV stars spent nearly $10 million dollars on their televised wedding extravaganza (not to mention her $2 million dollar engagement ring!) and have already decided they aren’t compatible! What alternative universe are Kardashian and Humphries living in?!

Britney Spears & Jason Alexander were married for a pathetic 2 days. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea for the wild pop star to head to Vegas on a whim. Although their marriage was annulled 55 hours later, it still made the front page news for weeks. Since the marriage, Spears has admitted it was a “joke that went too far”. Haha...funny joke! Good thing they didn;t spend $10 million dollars on the event!

Mario Lopez & Ali Landry are proof that dating for a long time doesn’t make for a good marriage. Lopez and Landry dated for a whopping 6 years before exchanging vows in April 2004 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The couple was married for approximately two weeks before Landry filed for divorce. Rumor has it Lopez was unfaithful...

Lisa Marie Presley & Nicolas Cage weren’t exactly a match made in heaven. The celebrity couple was married for just 3 months. Presley later referred to their short marriage as a “big mistake,” explaining that they “should not have been married in the first place.” At least Presley can admit a mistake when she makes one!

Carmen Electra & Dennis Rodman didn’t even make it past the 10 day mark! The Baywatch actress and NBA player lasted 9 days together. The couple filed for an annulment, citing “fraud and an unsound mind.” Apparently the lovers were highly intoxicated when they said “I do.” Moral of the story- don’t get married drunk!
