Breaking news! Could it be true? Is Kourtney Kardashian finally getting engaged to longtime boyfriend Scott Disick? If so, this is definitely the most exciting news of the year.

An insider source recently told Life & Style that Disick has indeed been shopping around for an engagement ring for Kardashian. The baby-daddy was spotted at Classics Jewelry in New York’s Diamond District checking out different options. Disick reportedly chose a1.5 carat princess-cut diamond ring that he thinks Kardashian will love. 

“Right now, they're so in love and so happy with each other and their family that there's no reason for them not to get married. Kourtney has also really come around to the idea of marriage,” a close friend of the couple shared.

The news is surprising considering that for so long Kardashian has been suspicious of marriage. Unlike her sister Kim Kardashian, who rushed into marriage and threw a televised wedding extravaganza, Kardashian has shied away from the alter. Somehow among the Kardashian family engagement ring and wedding madness, Kourtney has held tight to her own beliefs about marriage and commitment.

“I definitely don’t want to get married just for the sake of getting married. This is my life. I don’t need a piece of paper to make it a family unit. I don’t want to get married right now [and] I don’t have to listen to my mom or anyone else!” Kourtney said in an interview earlier this year.

Kardashian has been dating Disick for over five years and they have a 22 month son, Mason.
