Emily Maynard is once again single and looking for love. The 25-year-old Southern Belle signed on to be next season’s Bachelorette with the hope of finding her future husband. Wonder what ex-fiancé Brad Womack thinks about this…

Maynard, whose first fiancé, Ricky Hendrick, passed away in a plane crash, was a fan favorite on season 15 of The Bachelor. Womack too was a fan of Maynard, setting eyes on the blonde beauty from the start. The duo kissed and cuddled their way to a romantic getaway in South Africa during which Womack asked for Maynard’s hand in marriage. Overlooking the picture perfect Cape Town landscape, Womack knelt down on one knee and presented Maynard with a Neil Lane platinum cushion-cut diamond engagement ring. Just months later, the couple confirmed that they had split.

In July 2011, Maynard sat down with Bachelor host Chris Harrison to clear up rumors about her broken engagement to Womack.
“Just because we love each other doesn't mean we're right for each other,” Maynard cried.  “I wanted to be married and have more children, but I doubted he was going to still want to be with me,” she told Harrison.

Maynard, 25, also spoke about the strain their relationship put on her as a mother of a six-year-old daughter. 
“As a single mom, I don't have the luxury of saying "we'll figure it out when we get there. I need that reassurance that he'd want to be with me six weeks down the road much less six years,” she said.

Following her split with Womack, Maynard dated football player Jeremy Shockey, 31. The two met through a mutual friend who believed the Children's Hospital Event Planner and Carolina Panthers pro would be a perfect fit. Their first date was at BLT Steak in Charlotte's Ritz-Carlton hotel.

“They were set up on a blind date,” a close friend of Maynard told the press. “They've been out five times. Emily thinks Jeremy is nice, but she's just having fun.”

When Maynard is done having fun, she will welcome cameras into her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she plans to film season 8 of The Bachelorette.

“She's looking for a man... not a little boy,” a source close to Maynard revealed.
