Most brides spend months shopping for the perfect wedding dress. But if your father is Ralph Lauren, things are a bit easier. Dylan Lauren, owner of Dylan's Candy Bar stores and daughter of designer Ralph Lauren, didn’t have to worry about her dress at all;her father designed it! How sweet is that?!

In an family interview with Oprah Winfrey, Dylan revealed all the details on her dress.

“I may not take off the dress after the wedding,” Dylan laughed. “I told my fiancé I may sleep in it, I may wear it the next day. It’s really beautiful. It’s stunning.”

This month’s August issue of Vogue features pictures from Dylan and hedge fund manager Paul Arrouet’s wedding at her parents’ estate in Bedford, N.Y. There is also a stunning spread of Dylan’s georgette embroidered wedding gown, handmade with duchesse satin and silk tulle.

According to Dylan though, making the dress wasn’t a breeze for Lauren. He reportedly went through multiple sketches before coming up with the prefect design. Lauren told Oprah that his wife Ricky looked over the drawings before showing them to his precious daughter. 

“Ricky looked at the first drawing and said, ‘Ralph, that’s not Dylan. I think she should have this and should have this,’” Lauren explained. “Nothing was perfect. I had to do something that was better than ever before. That’s the only daughter I have. I wanted to just give her something that she’d really treasure, give her something that would be really amazing, and I wanted her to feel fantastic.”

Dylan, 37, exchanged wedding rings with Arrouet, 40, on June 11, 2011. 

"The evening was certainly an affair to remember," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE after the event. "Every detail embodied the couple from the design of place cards to the place settings to the music and, of course, to the dessert bar. It was a truly special evening. The couple couldn't be more in love with one another."

The couple also spoiled guests with delicious deserts, including strawberry cheesecake and s'mores, Yum!
