Oh no, not another divorce!
Will & Grace star Debra Messing has taken off her engagement ring. After a decade of marriage, Messing and husband Daniel Zelman are heading their separate ways and calling it quits.
According to Messing’s rep: "Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10 year marriage. The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family."
Sources close to the couple say that the couple have been separated for months, yet continue to live in the same apartment in New York.
"It's very amicable," an anonymous source revealed.
Despite their separation, Messing and Zelman have made an attempt to appear together in public. Recently they were spotted wearing matching costumes at a Halloween party. Just last month, Messing spoke to LilSugar.com about her family and their relocation to NYC.
"We just moved back to New York but have always had family here," she told the website. "We love to go skating at Wolman rink, and go see plays -- musicals specifically. Waiting for the snow to come. Looking forward to putting on the snowsuit and stomping through Central Park."
Messing, 43, and Zelman first met at New York University while in graduate school. They dated for eight years and married in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara on September 3, 2000. Messing stunned in a strapless Vera Wang gown, holding a bouquet of white calla lilies. Zelman gave Emmy-winning actress a 100 year-old sapphire ring just to say “I love you.”
In 2004, Messing opened up to PEOPLE about her respect for Zelman and hopes for their son.
"I want my child to be like my husband. He is sensitive, really intelligent, really funny ... but solid. He has a good sense of perspective," she told the magazine.
Such sad news. It breaks our hearts to hear about failed marriages. Hope Messing, Zelman and their son are doing OK!
