Crystal Harris’ engagement ring is set to be auctioned off at Christie’s this month. The former Playboy Bunny decided to put the 3.4 carat diamond ring up for auction after her very public split from the king of bunnies himself, Hugh Hefner. Hefner paid almost $100,000 for the ring when he proposed to her late last year and sources are expecting the ring to bring in about $20,000 - $30,000.

Why did Harris decided to auction off her gorgeous round cut engagement ring? A source close to the model says that the mere thought of looking at it brought back too many painful memories.

Harris called off her engagement to Hef in June and had this to say about it on her website:

"After much deep reflection and thought I have decided to end my engagement with Hef." She continued, "I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward. I hope the media will give each of us the privacy we deserve during this time."

Though some time has passed since their very public breakup, Crystal says she still has love and affection for Hef. Despite the fact that her cold feet got the best of her, she still wants them to remain close friends.

No word yet on what she'll do with the money she gets from auctioning off her engagement ring.
