Unlike Ali and Roberto, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum are still in love!
Half a year after getting engaged, The Bachelorette duo is spending their first holiday season as a couple. The holidays are giving Herbert and Rosenbaum a chance to learn about each-others traditions and family customs.
Herbert comes from a religious Christian family, while Rosenbaum is Jewish.
"We have been celebrating the first few nights of Hanukkah. We lit some candles," Rosenbaum told PEOPLE, joking that he has also introduced her to the "Jewish tradition of having Chinese food."
"All of my friends in dental school are Jewish and they celebrated Hanukkah, but I never did," Hebert shared. "I love it."
"We did a pre-Hanukkah dim sum down in Chinatown with my parents," Rosenbaum added.
The lovers will spend Christmas with Hebert's family in Madawaska, Maine. Hebert can’t wait to just relax, "wear PJs, sit on the couch, cuddle with J.P., eat lots of junk and sing Christmas carols." Sounds like the perfect Christmas weekend!
In addition to the holidays, Herbert and Rosenbaum will celebrate Herbert’s long-awaited completion of dental school at the University of Pennsylvania.
Rosenbaum is especially excited about Herbert’s new status.
"The first thing I said to her when she got home was, 'Hey Doctor.' [Being a dentist is] “definitely a turn on,” Rosenbaum joked.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to our favorite Bachelorette couple! may this year bring you joy, peace and love!
