What is up with canceling marriages in Hollywood?! Another celebrity has called off her wedding...not cool!

Aretha Franklin won’t be walking down the aisle this summer. The Respect singer has called off of her wedding to longtime beau William 'Willie' Wilkerson.

Oh Gosh. What went wrong this time?
According to the69-year-old soul singer, their relationship was moving a “little too fast”.

“Regretfully, To Our Friends and Supporters: Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly. There will be no wedding at this time.

“We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends,” Franklin and Wilkerson said in a statement.

Unlike most celebrities, Franklin is known for keeping her personal life out of the limelight. She managed to keep her engagement with former firefighter Wilkerson relatively private as well. Franklin and Wilkerson met nearly 30 years ago when Wilkerson asked the diva to sign the cast on his broken leg. In January, over the Christmas and New Year holidays, the couple announced their engagement. Franklin, however, did not flash her engagement ring or give too many details about their plans.

"We're looking at June or July for our date, and no I'm not pregnant, LOL!” the Grammy-winning singer joked.

She also revealed that they hoped to exchange vows in an intimate ceremony on a private yacht. As far as wedding dresses, Franklin was considering designs by Vera Wang, Valentino and Donna Karan.

This would have been the Queen of Soul’s third wedding. She has four children from her two previous marriages.
