`The Real Housewives Of New York City` star, Bethenny Frankel, is officially engaged.

Boyfriend Jason Hoppy proposed to Bethenny on October 8, after dating for 11 months. He gave her an 8-carat engagement ring with a 6.5-carat pear shaped center stone flanked by two side stones.

There is no denying Frankel`s excitement: "It feels great, because I'm with the right person. He may be regretting it because it's been beyond a week and he's in panic mode – [but] no, we're enjoying it."

Hoppy seems to be just fine: "She is very much a handful but one thing she did say to me is she needs a man that can handle her and that I can."

The proposal was as romantic as they get. After a day of shooting, Frankel arrived home to her Upper East Side apartment to find over a hundred lit votive candles and rose petals strewn all about the apartment. Hoppy got down on one knee and said: "You are the love of my life. Will you marry me?" Frankel`s puppy, Cookie, was dressed in a pink bow and oversaw the entire thing.

Before the couple could celebrate their engagement with a seven-course menu at Manhattan restaurant `Jean Georges`, Frankel wanted the rose petals removed from her carpet. "I made him pick them up. This was the first thing we had to resolve."

The couple have not set a wedding date yet.
