Kate Middleton may not be on the market anymore, but her little sister Pippa is single and ready to mingle!

Pippa Middleton, 27, won't be shopping for engagement rings anytime soon. Lil' Middleton is said to have split with boyfriend Alex Louden, 30. Loudon, former professional cricket player and current investment banker, escorted Middleton to her sister's Royal Wedding just weeks ago.

In a recent interview with the Times of London, a close friend confirmed the news."It is common knowledge in their close circle of friends that Pippa and Alex have recently split up," he told the paper.

Middleton and Louden, who have been dating for nearly a year, reportedly encountered relationships a result of Pippa's new celebrity status. 

"Alex tends to be a laid back, understated kind of guy. Pippa's lifestyle is just too public for him," said a friend close to the couple.

"Pippa has become very high-profile and it's put a strain on things," another anonymous source explained. "They're moving in different circles."

Pippa is definitely a big star these days thanks to her older sister's marriage to Prince William. This past April, Pippa dazzled the world in her low neck, fitting "heavy, ivory, satin crepe" Alexander McQueen gown. Some say she upstaged the Duchess of Cambridge at the ceremony, stealing her spot in the limelight. While Kate looked stunningly elegant, Pippa undoubtedly looked younger and sexier.

Social light Middleton is certainly not staying home crying about the breakup. She is already rumored to be seeing college ex-boyfriend and son of the Duke of Northumberland, George Percy.  The two were spotted partying in Madrid, Spain and watching tennis at the Queens Club.  Pippa even spent the night at Percy's flat after having dinner together last Wednesday. Not sure though how long the relationship will last. Pippa has been in several short relationships over the past few years. She has been linked to beaus JJ Jardine Patterson, heir to a Hong Kong banking fortune and Alexander Spencer Churchill, to name a few.

Middleton and Louden plan on remaining good friends and want leave the door open for a possible romance sometime in the future. 

So hurry up guys, get on it. Pippa won't be single forever!
