On Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris Humphries’ proposal to Kim Kardashian looked picture perfect. Humphries knelt down on one knee and presented Kardashain with a $2 million, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring. The phrase “Will you marry me” was spelled out in red rose petals delicately placed on the floor.

“You're crazy,” Kardashian blushed.
“You're perfect,” Humphries replied.
“Oh my God, yes,” Kardashian gushed even before he could get the words out.

Ah, how unscripted and organically romantic!

Ya right! Sources are now revealing that Kardashian and Humphries’ proposal wasn’t exactly what it appeared to be on television.

Radar Online reported that Kim knew everything that was going to happen during the proposal. In fact, she planned it herself! “Kim told Kris how, where and when to propose, it was absolutely no surprise to her whatsoever," an anonymous source told the website.

“First of all, Kris proposed in the middle of the day, and he had to do that because it would create better lighting to capture the moment. Kim looked so surprised but she knew it was happening. She was in full hair and make-up, as she always is on the show. Kris wanted it to be very intimate and romantic, but all of his ideas were shot down by production officials and Kim,” the source added.

Kris had wanted to propose in his hometown in Minnesota, but Kim insisted he pop the question in the bedroom of her L.A estate.
“Kim told him the paparazzi would ruin the special moment if it were to take place in a public setting, like the beach, which he had also considered. How romantic could it be with three camera crews?” another source said of the planned proposal.

When it comes to Kardashian and Humphries’ short-lived relationship, it seems that more than just the proposal was scripted. Radar Online also reported that Kardashian had complete say over what was aired and edited on her numerous reality shows.
