Notorious bachelor George Clooney may finally be settling down. According to `In Touch`, the ageing heartthrob recently bought his girlfriend, Italian TV personality Elisabetta Canalis, a diamond ring.

According to the magazine,  "It's not an engagement ring — but it is a sign they're getting serious." When Clooney was dating waitress Sarah Larson he publicly stated that he would "never marry," but now it seems the tide has maybe turned for the actor. In fact, the couple recently moved in together into his California home.

It`s been sixteen years since Clooney ended a difficult marriage to actress Talia Balsam. Most people assumed George would never get married again after the ordeal. However, that didn`t stop the actor from dating several women, many at the same time. In early 2009, there was speculation that he was involved with waitress Lucy Wolvert and also Fatima Bhutto, the granddaughter of a former Pakistan Prime Minister.

George Clooney has been an A-List actor for quite some time, and his sex appeal has been well-documented. In 2007, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in `Michael Clayton`. He has three films films set for release in 2009: `The Man Who Stares At Goats`, `Up in the Air` and `Fantastic Mr. Fox`. He has been voted `PEOPLE`S` sexiest man twice.
