We may have to wait a few weeks to watch Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding special, but we don’t have to wait any longer to hear all the details about their weddings bands! That’s right; James Allen has the scoop on the celebrity couple’s glamorous wedding rings.

Minnillo, 30, and Lachey, 37, chose to keep their wedding bands traditional, in contrast to their exotic wedding affair. The newlyweds used the same New York based jeweler David Bader (of Bader and Garrin) who designed Minnillo’s platinum, Asscher cut diamond engagement ring.

“Vanessa was definitely looking for a ring to match her engagement ring,” Bader told PEOPLE in recent interview.

Lachey on the other hand wanted something more masculine. “I wanted something huskier and thicker” the Sing-Off host said.

“They both wanted a substantial looking ring with diamonds, but Nick wanted his to be masculine at the same time,” Bader explained.

Bader designed a one-of-a-kind platinum eternity band of Asscher-cut diamonds to achieve an elegant look for Minnillo. For Lachey, Bader created a 24 square diamond platinum band, to complement Vanessa’s sparkler.  The couple also engraved loving messages to each other on the inside of their bands.

According to Bader, who has designed rings for several A-List celebrities and Lachey were a fun and easy to work with. “They are two extremely easy people to work with. It was such a pleasure,” said Bader. The couple was extremely happy with their bands and had no complaints or diva-ish requests.
