Steven Tyler is engaged to Erin Brady and the American Idol judge gave her a 5-carat diamond engagement ring to seal the deal! The Aerosmith star and Grammy award winner proposed to his model girlfriend with a gorgeous brilliant cut diamond, set in a platinum pave band. The singer proposed on holiday in the aloha state of Hawaii, where the engagement ring also doubled as a nice Christmas gift. The engagement ring was designed by Loree Rodkin, who has also designed jewelry worn by Madonna, Michelle Obama, Elton John and Cher.

The celebrity jeweler said the while Steven Tyler was busy at work, she was preparing as many ring options as possible. She told People Magazine that, “He was working, so I picked stones, built settings, showed him choices and sent him pictures on his phone…He asked for guidance but the choice was his. Having made jewelry for both Erin and Steven made it an effortless process, as I know their taste.”

Steven Tyler has been twice married: Once to Teresa Barrick, a fashion designer whom he divorced in 2006 and a second time to Cyrinde Fox, which lasted almost 10 years. He and Erin Brady had been dating for five years before they became engaged. No word yet on the wedding details, but be sure to check back for more updates as they are released!
