Pippa Middleton, England's most eligible bachelorette has been laying low since her older sister Kate’s Royal Wedding on April 29, 2011. But now it’s finally her turn to walk down the aisle. (Pippa and Loudon apparently decided to put off their engagement so as not to take attention away from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal proposal and wedding.)

Rumor has it that Pippa’s longtime boyfriend, Alex Loudon, is now on the market for an impressive diamond engagement ring. The 31-year-old former cricketer is reportedly planning to propose to Pippa soon and has asked one of his closest friends to start shopping around for engagement rings. 

A source close to Loudon revealed, “Alex knows that if he doesn't ask her soon he might lose her. He's an ideal choice for Pippa.”

The question is: what kind of ring is Loudon looking to buy? What is Pippa’s engagement ring style? And of course, how will Loudon ever find a ring that doesn’t pale in comparison to Kate’s 18-carat vintage sapphire and diamond engagement ring?

A source close to the couple has already leaked that Loudon has seen a few designs by Diane von Furstenberg which he liked very much. Furstenberg, who is known for her modern style engagement rings with huge center stones, happens to also be a favorite of Kate’s.

Being Kate Middleton’s younger sister can’t be easy. Pippa certainly deserves a giant rock and some time of her own in the spotlight!
