Kim Kardashian has been doing some serious jewelry shopping recently!

This past Tuesday night, Kardashian stopped by the Elizabeth Taylor Jewelry Auction at Christie's New York, where she spent a fortune. The reality diva bid thousands on the iconic beauty’s jewelry. Kardashian paid $64,900 for three jade bracelets, designed by celebrity favorite Lorraine Schwartz.

"It's not just a piece of jewelry," Kardashian told InStyle.com. "She wore them constantly during the final years of her life and I believe they carry her spirit."

Even Schwartz, who designed engagement rings for Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Heidi Klum, left the auction with a diamond fringe bracelet Taylor purchased from her nearly 10 years ago.

"I was wearing it for her [70th birthday] party at the Bel-Air Hotel," Schwartz shared, "and she kept calling me over to look at it and to try it on." The next morning, the jeweler got a call from the movie star, who said, "I know who's buying that bracelet for my birthday ... I'm buying it!"

Schwartz also bought a pair of earrings which Michael Todd, Taylor's third husband, designed especially for her. According to Schwartz, "The earrings were once made from paste, but she loved them so much that Michael Todd surprised her and made them real. During the auction I could feel her saying to me, 'Buy them, they're my favorite.' I feel like I have a part of her with me forever."

Kardashian and Schwartz weren’t the only A-listers to attend the auction. Michael Kors, Anna Sui Nina Garcia, Jennifer Tilly, Sofia Coppola, and Jill Zarin also checked out the selection at Christie's.

Supermodel Coco Rocha left the auction with Taylor's favorite pink-and-yellow Givenchy jumpsuit.

"I was amazed that I actually won," Rocha told InStyle.com "Everyone has been asking what I am going to do with it - I am going to wear it. Right now, I'm thinking next year's Costume Institute Ball would be perfect."

The auction raised a record-breaking total of $116 million, the majority of which will go to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. Forbes reported that the auction set 7 new world records for traits such as per carat price for a colorless diamond and ruby per carat.
