Jessica Biel’s engagement ring seems to have finally made its long-awaited debut! Or so we thought…

The 29-year old actress flashed what appeared to be a huge clunker of a ring on the set of her next movie, Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes, which is filming in Los Angeles. Though there was much speculation about whether or not this was in fact the engagement ring from her fiance, Justin Timberlake (aka the King of Everything), it turns out that it’s just a dinky piece of costume jewelry.

False alarm.

This isn’t the first time Ms-Soon-To-Be-Timberlake has pulled a fast one on us. She wore a diamond engagement ring on her middle finger to the Golden Globes, keeping her wedding ring finger bare, and she did the same thing earlier at a party at Chateau Marmont.

All of this evasiveness begs the question: does Jessica Biel’s engagement ring even exist?

Word on the street in yes, but if this rascally ring doesn’t surface, we are going to start assuming that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s engagement is fake.
