This is so exciting! Our favorite pop princess is engaged and sporting a 3-carat engagement ring!

"Yes, I can confirm it's true," Britney Spears's rep announced last week. 

That's right! Britney Spears and former agent, Jason Trawick, are indeed getting married. Trawick, who has been dating Spears since 2009, proposed on his 40th birthday with a massive Neil Lane sparkler.   

"He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night,"a source told PEOPLE.

Another anonymous source told People that the duo had "been talking about marriage for a long time."

The newly engaged couple celebrated by spending the weekend in Las Vegas. After checking into their Planet Hollywood 3,100-square-foot mega suite, Spears showed off her Neil Lane engagement ring during a welcome on the hotel's mezzanine. Spears wore a short, nude Herve Leger dress and beamed as Planet Hollywood Chairman Robert Earl gave Trawick a giant birthday cake.

"She wanted it to be quick because her kids where upstairs and she wanted to put them to bed," the source added.

Spears and Trawick then stopped by the Sugar Factory Chocolate Lounge where they shared a club sandwich and turkey burger. They also enjoyed a fabulous selection of cupcakes and a large ice-cream Sunday covered in sprinkles and chocolate syrup.

To end the night, the love birds hit up the Paris's Chateau Nightclub. Alongside friends, Spears and Trawick sat at their own VIP table overlooking the dance floor.

"Britney seemed happy, holding Jason's hand," an onlooker told PEOPLE. Spears was "dancing up a storm" until nearly 4.”

An elated Spears did not forget to tweet the news.
"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for," she tweeted Friday morning. "Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo."

The mother of two also shared the news on Facebook, updating her status from “in a relationship” to “engaged.”
"Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family," Spears wrote on her Facebook page.
