Bethenny Frankel is showing off her extra sparkly engagement ring!

While being interviewed on the Today Show in NYC Thursday, Frankel flashed her engagement ring which seemed a tad more shiny than usual. The ring stood out when paired with a traditional black sweater and red skirt. What was different about Frankel’s engagement ring?

The Bethenny Ever Star explained that her ring recently had a makeover. Her orginial engagement ring features a 6.5 carat pear cut diamond flanked by two.75 carat side stones. This ring, however, was even more extravagant;  It’s an upgrade, given to Frankel, 41, by her husband Jason Hoppy!

"Jason gave it to me on my birthday trip to Mexico as an early anniversary present," Frankel told Us Weekly.

"When we got engaged, my jeweler Kristen Farrell found us a great deal on an engagement ring that someone was selling," Frankel, who stared in The Real Housewives of New York City, continued. "We had wanted a certain setting but couldn't afford it, so we waited until we could design our ring the way we wanted."

Frankel and Hoppy have been married for two years. They exchanged vows on TV on the Bravo reality show, Bethenny Getting Married. Just a month later they had their first daughter, Bryn Casey.
