Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas is finally a married woman! The 29 year old TV star married high school teacher Stephen Stagliano, 27, this past weekend in Georgia. The couple has been engaged since August 2010 when Stagliano proposed with a 2.12-carat diamond engagement ring. The ring featured an Asscher-cut center stone from Boston's King Jewelers.
"I was crying, holding his hands, and he showed me the ring. I just nodded, like, Yeah!" Pappas told Us Weekly of their engagement.
Pappas wore a stunning Disney Bridal wedding gown with a short, net veil and cowboy boots.
"[Pappas] looked incredibly happy. They were giddy with excitement," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE magazine.
Pappas and Stagliano were introduced to each other by Stephen's twin brother, Michael Stagliano— a contestant from Jillian Harris's season of The Bachelorette. At the time, Michael Stagliano was dating Holly Durst, from Matt Grant's season of The Bachelor.
Finding the one hasn’t been easy for Pappas, who was rejected by Brad Womack on his first season as The Bachelor. She later became The Bachelorette and got engaged to contestant Jesse Csincsak in the summer of 2008. Pappas and Csincsak broke off their engagement, however, and eventually broke up.
Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing you all the best.
