What will Ali Fedotowsky, 27, do with her engagement ring now that she and Roberto Martinez, 28, have called it quits?

Apparently the 27-year-old former Bachelorette has already returned her $50,000 three-carat asscher sparkler. Fedotowsky was reportedly seen returning her ring to Hollywood jeweler Neil Lane within 24 hours of their split.

Fedotowsky and Martinez fell in love on Season 6 of ABC’s The Bachlorette. The former Facebook account manager and State Farm insurance salesman had an immediate connection and were the fan favorite by a mile. From their very first date, sparks flew on and off-screen.

Since announcing their split, Fedotowsky has moved out the couple’s shared San Diego home. According to close friends, Fedotowsky is extremely sad and hoping to get away from the lime light for a while. Fedotowsky and Martinez were last seen in public together on November 3.

“She's actually really upset right now,” said an anonymous friend of Fedotowsky Us Weekly. “She's going to be laying low for a while.”
Another source told US Weekly: “Their relationship has been tumultuous since day one. They're either extremely happy or can't stand each other.” 

For months, rumors had been buzzing that America’s favorite reality couple was headed for a breakup. Their 18-month relationship had apparently been on the rocks for a while. Last October, Fedotowsky blamed their wedding date postponement in her kickboxing injury. She also told the press that the reality stars simply wanted to strengthen themselves as individuals before joining forces.

“We definitely have arguments,' she said, 'but we always make up afterwards and realize how much we love the other person. We had a very short courtship and we only knew each other nine weeks before we got engaged. We are still figuring out our lives as individuals,” she said.

We are still in shock that the cutest couple to come out of The Bachelor series (with the exception of Ryan and Trista, of course) has broken up! Perhaps ABC should consider a couples therapy show in which they help the couples work through their issues. We just aren’t OK with all these broken engagements!
