Maybe the best celebrity weddings are done in secret.  Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom and Victoria's Secret supermodel Miranda Kerr would like to think so.   

Only a mere month after they announced their engagement and Kerr was seen wearing a platinum engagement ring, the duo have exchanged wedding rings in an intimate ceremony and are already on their honeymoon.

The world only learned of the news when Kerr released a statement explaining why she canceled her appearance at the Australian department store David Jones. 

"David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together," the statement says.
People.com reports that the Lord of the Rings actor and his Australian model gal pal checked into the Viceroy Anguilla resort in the Caribbean for what was thought to be just a Victoria's Secret Angels photo shoot for Kerr but the couple was spotted on numerous occasions in front of the private villa and dining at the resort's restaurant. 

After the shoot was over, Kerr and Bloom flew away from the rest of the Victoria's Secret models and crew, who headed to St. Barts, and to another undisclosed location.

The world later learned from Bloom and Kerr's mothers that the British actor went the traditional route when asking for Kerr's hand in marriage. 

"They truly are a gorgeous couple, are very much in love and bring out the best in each other," the mother-of-the-bride said.

The pair have been dating for almost three years! According to reports, the couple began dating in late 2007.  In September 2008, Kerr told the British Hello! Magazine that they were friends first and the relationship developed later.  She was seeing someone else at the time.  The duo made their first public appearance at Sydney's Doncaster Day at the Randwick Racecourse in April 2008.
