Monica has one engagement ring and two wedding rings!

According to PEOPLE magazine, R&B singer Monica Denise Arnold married Los Angeles Laker Shannon Brown last Saturday for the second time. So what’s the story?

Although the celebrity couple married last November in a private ceremony, they decided to exchange vows again before family and friends. Their second marriage took place in a renovated 19th century cathedral in downtown L.A. Monica, who has sold more than 20 million albums, wore a beautiful Stephan Roland white gown.

Guests who included Laker players Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher as well as Lala Vazquez, Carmelo Anthony were asked to wear shades of blue to the event. The reception was planned by Hollywood event coordinator Mindy Weiss and was reportedly quite an extravagant affair.  The purple and blue-themed party included a three-course dinner and lavish centerpieces of roses and hydrangeas.

Monica and Brown fell in love last summer when he appeared as her love interest in her music video "Love All Over Me." In October Monica confirmed her engagement to Brown on Twitter, posting a pic of her giant, rose-cut diamond engagement ring. Brown married Monica (for the first time) just weeks later at a private ceremony at their L.A.

Both Monica and Brown have children from previous relationships. Monica, 30, has two sons with ex-fiance Rodney "Rocko" Hill. Brown, 25, has a son from a previous relationship as well.

This is wonderful news for Monica, who has had plenty of heartbreak and tragedy over the past few years. Her childhood sweetheart committed suicide before her eyes and another former boyfriend, rapper C-Murder, is currently in jail for a murder conviction.
