Actress and singer Hilary Duff is engaged to Edmonton Oilers forward Mike Comrie.

The pair has been dating for more than 2 years. Comrie gave Duff a 14-carat princess cut diamond engagement ring last weekend while enjoying a vacation in Hawaii. The diamond ring reportedly cost $1 million.

In an email distributed by the oilers yesterday, Duff said that the two "are very excited to share this happy news."

Twenty-two year-old Hilary Duff is the star of Disney`s hit show Lizzie McGuire and movies like Cheaper by the Dozen and A Cinderella Story. Recently, she has a recurring guest spot on the CW series Gossip Girl.

Hilary Duff isn't the only singer who fancies NHL players. Last December, country music singer Carrie Underwood became engaged to Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators.

While no wedding plans have officially been made, Duff has been proudly flashing her engagement ring all over town.
