Jason Castro, the 22-year-old dreadlocked singer-songwriter from American Idol, exchanged wedding rings with girlfriend Mandy Mayhall in his hometown near Dallas.

Castro was a contestant on season 7 of American Idol. He ended up finishing in fourth place.

Castro and Mayhall confirmed their engagement in November. Supposedly, Castro proposed on Halloween, while the pair was dressed up as characters from Disney`s Beauty and the Beast.

Earlier this week, the Castro had a bachelor party that included bowling, poker and pool. He tweeted about the event: "Bachelor partayyyy!!! Bowling Poker and pool all in the same room!"
 
Castro Tweeted yesterday about the marriage: "Yesterday I married the girl of my dreams. It couldn't have been more perfect! Now, honeymoooon!!! :)"

On January 12, Castro will release an EP entitled The Love Uncompromised on Atlantic Records. In the spring he will release as still untitled full-length album. Later this month, Castro will kick off a tour.
