The ADPA, African Diamond Producers Association, is Now Open for Business.

The African Diamond Producers Association (ADPA) was officially constituted during a meeting in Luanda, the capital of Angola and the interim headquarters of the ADPA. In attendance were representatives of Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe. The Association will work towards creating a stronger influence in the world diamond market. They plan to create uniform policies that will unite the region and give it more power and local recognition for the work done locally. The chairman of the ADPA and the African Diamond Council is Dr. Andre Action Diakite Jackson. The Interim Executive Secretariat of the ADPA is Edgar Diogo de Carvalho Santos, the former Secretary General of the Ministry of Geology and Mines in Angola.
