The Stones’ hefty price tag have earned them the distinguished designation of the world’s most expensive wedding act, ahead of pop stars Elton John and Kylie Minogue, who only ask for 2 million pounds to play at weddings. Elton, however, donates his earnings from private concerts to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, a charity he set up and organized.

According to a recent poll, diva Christina Aguilera was named the fourth most expensive nuptial performer at 1.5 million pounds a show and George Michaels earns a colossal 1.3 million pounds for a private concert. Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney and Jennifer Lopez each earn a whopping 1 million pounds per performance.

Just last Friday, U2 took a break from their tour to perform at the wedding of Andrea Corr (of The Corrs) and billionaire Brett Desmond.

So, if you or someone you know is planning a wedding, don’t settle for the same old song and dance. Write a check for 5 million pounds and have the Rolling Stones inject their ageing rock n’ roll into your wedding day – you won’t regret it.
