‘The Real Housewives Of New York City’ star, Bethenny Frankel, is officially engaged. Boyfriend Jason Hoppy proposed to Bethenny on October 8, after dating for 11 months. He gave her an 8-carat engagement ring with a 6.5-carat pear shaped center stone flanked by two side stones. There is no denying Frankel’s excitement: “It feels great, because I'm with the right person. He may be regretting it because it's been beyond a week and he's in panic mode – [but] no, we're enjoying it.” Hoppy seems to be just fine: “She is very much a handful but one thing she did say to me is she needs a man that can handle her and that I can.” The proposal was as romantic as they get. After a day of shooting, Frankel arrived home to her Upper East Side apartment to find over a hundred lit votive candles and rose petals strewn all about the apartment. Hoppy got down on one knee and said: “You are the love of my life. Will you marry me?” Frankel’s puppy, Cookie, was dressed in a pink bow and oversaw the entire thing. Before the couple could celebrate their engagement with a seven-course menu at Manhattan restaurant ‘Jean Georges’, Frankel wanted the rose petals removed from her carpet. “I made him pick them up. This was the first thing we had to resolve.” The couple have not set a wedding date yet.
