 Good news, ladies. The ‘Sex and the City’ sequel is well underway, and you can expect it to hit theaters next summer. Plus, a new addition is going to spice everything up. Yes, it’s true - Penelope Cruz has joined the cast, so expect some major fun. Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristen Stewart and Cynthia Nixon, Penelope Cruz and Liza Minnelli are going to be in the film, along with Jason Lewis, reprising his role as Samantha Jones’ ex. What will Penelope’s character be like? Well, let’s just say Cruz was spotted at the Empire Hotel filming a scene with Chris Noth, and things looked intimate. Could Carrie have her man snatched away from her by Penelope’s sexy character? Only time will tell. Minnelli also filmed recently for three days. When she was done, she serenaded the cast with a rendition of ‘Every Time I Say Goodbye’. According to an on-set source, “A total hush fell over the set. You could have heard a pin drop; it was such a moving moment. Everyone had goose bumps, tears. It was a really lovely parting gift she felt like giving everyone.” Looks like Cruz is having a good week. She was recently spotted wearing an engagement ring given to her by Javier Bardem. Although the couple is keeping mum about any nuptials, friends say the couple definitely plan on getting married soon, already having sent out invitations. Rumors about a pregnancy are also abound, but, not surprisingly, the duo are keeping silent about that too.
