 Last night, at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Kanye West thought it would be a good idea to interrupt Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, to proclaim that Beyonce Knowles should have won the award for Best Female Music Video. Needless to say, it was not a good idea. While the country starlet was humbly accepting her award, Kanye burst onto the stage, grabbed the microphone from the 19-year-old, and said: “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time!” It wasn’t long before audience members rose to their feet and booed the megalomaniac, while cameras captured an embarrassed Beyonce. As West took his seat, a number of celebs took the opportunity to tell him off. According to inside sources, Kayne was asked to leave the show by a high-powered member of MTV. Later in the show, Diddy took to the stage to present an award. When he mentioned Kanye as a nominee, the crowd booed and chanted Taylor’s name. Beyonce, who exchanged wedding rings with VMA co-performer Jay-z, eventually won Video Of The Year for her hit song, ‘Single Ladies’. In a show of true generosity, Knowles dedicated her time to Swift. Taylor came out and gave her acceptance speech, without interruption. The two singers embraced and the crowd gave a standing ovation. Kanye has posted an apology to Taylor swift, her fans and her mom, on his official blog.
