Chris Brown is slowly trying to rebuild his public image after having a much publicized altercation with potential fiancee, Rihanna, by issuing a public apology on Larry King Live tomorrow and asking for his former sweetheart’s forgiveness. Since January, the singer of the hit song ‘Umbrella’ had been seen flashing an engagement ring reportedly given to her by Chris Brown, although the two have kept any word of an engagement under wraps. Until recently, Chris Brown, the singer of ‘Forever’, has not addressed the February assault incident publicly, except for a video message he released in July. His appearance on Larry King Live would be his third apology. According to Radar Online, Brown chose the Larry King Show as an outlet for his request for forgiveness because he feels he’ll be able “to get his apology across without facing brutal questioning.”
In related news, a YouTube clip is helping Chris Brown’s popularity and giving his image a much-needed boost: A young Minnesota couple dancing down the aisle to his song, ‘Forever’. To date, the video has been viewed more than 12 million times, and it placing the spotlight back on Brown’s talent, rather than his recent behavior.
On August 2, Chris had his first on-stage performance after the assault incident, joining Young Money at a concert in Virginia to sing ‘Every Girl.’
