 As if super-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie don’t have enough on their plate, now they’re designing diamond jewelry… and serpent-themed jewelry at that. The duo has teamed up with top British Jeweler Asprey to release a series of serpent-themed designs, which include earrings, pendants, bangles, rings, silver spoons and an egg cup. Being the charitable pair they are, Brad and Angelina will give 100% of the net proceeds to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. Already, the couple has donated $1 million in June 2008 through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation. The inspiration for the jewelry comes from the time Angelina was pregnant with daughter Shiloh in 2006. She was given a gift that was to serve as a protective guardian – a snake ring. “Since then she has seen the snake symbol as a protective talisman for her family,” says a source at Asprey. The jewelry line started as something for children, but has gradually developed into the limited edition Protector Collection of high end jewelry. However, the collection still includes items for children, including a tooth box and silver egg cup. The collection will be available starting today.
