 Recently, Victoria’s Secret Model Miranda Kerr, longtime girlfriend of “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor Orlando Bloom, has been seen wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger. Kerr had flown to Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival, where she was photographed in the engagement ring, to see Bloom for one night before returning to work in New York. Last year, similar rumors began, and the couple was quick to deny them. Kerr issued a statement last week that the rumors were again untrue. However, the couple did race off to Kerr’s native Australia over the weekend, where Kerr supposedly had a fashion shoot. They then plan to “spend a day” with her family in Queensland before returning to the US. Too many times these seemingly-innocent celebrity trips to visit with family turn out to be surprise weddings, so it will be interesting to watch out for news of Bloom and Kerr over the next few weeks. Socialite and reality television star Kim Kardashian was seen shopping for engagement rings over the last few weeks, fueling rumors that New Orleans Saints star running back Reggie Bush was ready to propose. When asked about her ring shopping, Kardashian said that she was showing her sisters what she would want for an engagement ring, thinking that, when Bush is ready to propose, he’ll ask them for suggestions. According to Kardashian “It’s just easier” if they know in advance what to buy. According to sister Kourtney, her first choice costs about $20 million. Kardashian and Bush have been together for two years, and there is little question that they will get married. It’s only a matter of when the couple will finally exchange wedding rings. Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has been dating actor Jamie Kennedy since December of last year. After the couple was seen shopping for engagement rings last week in Las Vegas, Hollywood was buzzing with rumors that the two were planning to marry. Kennedy, however, seems not ready to get engaged, and was, to say the least, unnerved by the rumors. He and Hewitt went on an Arizona radio show to clear up the confusion. Hewitt, who is known to take control in relationships and can be demanding, was hurt that her boyfriend was not ready, saying “Would that be the worst thing in the world?” Hewitt’s previous engagement ended badly last year, but Hewitt seems unfazed, and anxious to wear a wedding ring. She said of her relationship with Kennedy, “By this time next year, if we’re not planning something, then there’s a situation.” Hopefully, things will work out better for her this time around.
