Earlier this year, after New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady exchanged wedding rings with supermodel Gisele Bundchen in Costa Rica, they were photographed by two photographers during the post-wedding party. Now the photographers are suing the couple, claiming they were shot at by their security guards.
The $1 million lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan claims that the photographers suffered physical and mental harm from the attack, despite the fact that they were not actually hit by any bullets.
According to the lawsuit, it is said that Brady and Bundchen hired improperly trained security guards for the celebration. The party took place in April, two months after their wedding, at Bundchen’s Holiday home.
‘AFP’ photographer Yuri Cortez and photographer Rolando Aviles of Costa Rican national daily newspaper ‘Al Dia’ say Bundchen's bodyguards barely missed hitting their heads while they were being fired upon for refusing to give up their cameras and memory cards.
Not to be outdone by pregnant sister Kourtney, 29-year-old reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has decided to exchange wedding rings with LA Laker Lamar Odom this Sunday, just weeks after getting together.
According to E! News, many of the wedding guests have already been informed of the celebration via telephone, with formal invites to follow this week - but the future bride has yet to confirm or deny the reports.
On September 4, Khloe confirmed she was dating Odom. According to older sister Kim: “They're very, very happy. They've been together a few weeks, and are literally inseparable.” According to a source, the couple went ring shopping in Los Angeles over the weekend, and Odom bought Khloe a ring she liked on the spot. “She's not wearing it yet because it is being resized,” says the source.
Although the pair has only spent six weeks together, they are hoping to get married and have a honeymoon before Odom begins training camp with the Lakers this fall.
It is rumored that the many, but not all of the Lakers team was invited to the still secret wedding. Whether or not this is true, remains to be seen.

Actor Patrick Swayze passed away yesterday after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only 57 years old.
A statement released last night by his publicist, Annett Wolf, said “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months."
Swayze, who exchanged wedding rings with Lisa Niemi in 1975, wrote a touching chronicle about his life, with his wife, prior to his death. Entitled ‘Time Of My Life’, the memoir will hit stores September 29th of this year.
Texas-born Patrick Swayze was the son of a choreographer and dance school owner. He studied at New York ballet schools. He met future wife of 34 years, Lisa Niemi, while she was a student at his mother's dance school.
Swayze enjoyed a varied Hollywood and Broadway career. His first major role was that of Danny Zuko in the original Broadway production of ‘Grease’. In 1983, he appeared in Francis Ford Coppola's ‘The Outsiders’. He played dance instructor, Johnny Castle, in the hit 1987 movie ‘Dirty Dancing’. In 1990, he starred opposite Demi Moore in the blockbuster romance film, ‘Ghost’. Most recently, he starred in the TV drama, ‘The Beast’, playing a rogue FBI agent. ‘The Beast’ was filmed after his cancer diagnosis.
Last night, at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Kanye West thought it would be a good idea to interrupt Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, to proclaim that Beyonce Knowles should have won the award for Best Female Music Video. Needless to say, it was not a good idea.
While the country starlet was humbly accepting her award, Kanye burst onto the stage, grabbed the microphone from the 19-year-old, and said: “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time!”
It wasn’t long before audience members rose to their feet and booed the megalomaniac, while cameras captured an embarrassed Beyonce. As West took his seat, a number of celebs took the opportunity to tell him off. According to inside sources, Kayne was asked to leave the show by a high-powered member of MTV.
Later in the show, Diddy took to the stage to present an award. When he mentioned Kanye as a nominee, the crowd booed and chanted Taylor’s name.
On Tuesday, America’s ‘favorite dad’ and reality TV star had a heavily anticipated sit-down with ABC News. During the interview, Jon Gosselin revealed a lot, including a claim that his soon to be ex-wife stole his wedding ring. He even went as far as to say he “despised” Kate.
Regarding the allegedly stolen wedding ring, Jon told ABC News' Chris Cuomo on ‘Good Morning America’ that “I don't wear my ring because she took my ring. I don't have it. So I laid it down one night. It was gone. Who else would take it? I checked underneath my kids' pillows. That's where everything ends up in the house anyway. So it wasn't there.” He also argued that Kate “still wears the ring for public perception.”
He also accused Kate of verbally abusing him during their marriage.
When asked about his reputation as a father, Jon responded: “Tomorrow I could be maybe . . . America's favorite dad again. It could be after this interview. I don't know. Whatever they want to write, let them write it. They're going to write it anyway. I've learned that lesson.”
Former minor league American baseball star Doug Reinhardt is wooing Paris Hilton with lavish gifts. The former athlete turned reality TV star knows that diamonds are a girl’s best friend and he’s giving Paris plenty of them.
The socialite couple looked happy during an appearance at the Venice Film Festival after spending the day in the shopping district and taking in the sights. Witnesses say that the ‘Hills’ star treated the hotel heiress to jewels from Cartier. An onlooker revealed: “Doug whipped out his black Amex card and took Paris on a major shopping spree. They went to Cartier where he bought her the entire diamond panther collection of rings, necklaces, and bracelets.”
It’s no secret that the couple has recently reunited after a break up in June. It appears the Reinhardt is determined to show Paris he feels strongly for her. Or, maybe, he is showing the world that he is Paris’ man - Hilton was recently spotted at an LA nightclub, where she was enjoying the company of soccer player, Christiano Ronaldo.
When Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger wants a quiet evening out with his girlfriend of eight years, L’Wren Scott, he is often dismayed—but never surprised—when the paparazzi catches up with them. On Sunday night, when the couple was leaving London’s Donmar Warehouse Theatre, where they had just seen ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, they were caught again on camera, and, again, NOT on camera together. The couple has tried over the years to avoid being photographed together.
Although they bought a 6 million pound home together in 2006, spending hundred of thousands on renovations, they have not, as far as anyone knows, exchanged wedding rings yet. Scott has, however, been seeing wearing a huge diamond on her wedding finger, but has been coy about whether or not it is an engagement ring from the twice-married frontman, telling the Daily Mail that “It’s a very beautiful ring and that’s all I’m going to say about it.”
L’Wren Scott, a former model and now a celebrity stylist, has embraced the family that she has inherited along with her famous love, and, unlike his previous girlfriends, has no plans to have children with him. He already has six children from previous relationships. Scott is now 42, and Jagger is 65.
It has been no secret that Katherine Heigle is unhappy on the set of Grey’s Anatomy. She has publicly lashed out against the show on several occasions, most recently complaining on the David Letterman Show about having to work 17 hour days. Last year she withdrew her name from Emmy consideration because she felt the material she was given was not worthy of any award.
Well, now it seems Heigle is taking some time off from Seattle Grace, the fictitious hospital where her character, Izzie Stevens, works. How long? At least 5 episodes, but who knows.
Heigle, who exchanged wedding rings with musician Josh Kelly less than 2 years ago, is taking the hiatus to film a new romantic comedy, ‘Life As We Know it’. According to an ABC rep: “Katherine is taking time off to film a movie. The producers at Grey’s have accommodated past things like that before. It’s a cast of 13 and it is a true ensemble so the show is mindful [of other commitments].”
According to EW, Heigl’s departure is set to begin this month and last into November. Of course, the absence will be explained on screen. Also, co-star Ellen Pompeo is due to give birth in October and is expected to take maternity leave around the same time. According to the ABC rep, that’s “all being worked out. Shonda [Rhimes] has had plans in place for a very long time.”
Police are currently investigating the disappearance of a 2008 World Series championship ring that has 103 diamonds and is valued at up to $15,000. The investigators are combing the Philadelphia Phillies' ballpark, where the ring is believed to be missing.
The owner is a member of the Phillies marketing department, not an athlete. He noticed the ring missing after he used the restroom at Citizens Bank Park. According to police Lt. Martin Derbyshire, the man remembered taking the ring off at about 1:30 pm. As part of the investigation, police have talked to other employees and watched surveillance footage. As of now police are saying the ring is considered missing, not stolen: “So far, we don't have a theft. The ring is just missing.”
The 14 karat white gold ring contains 103 diamonds, totaling nearly four karats – but to the employee, the ring is priceless.
Phillies shortstop, Jimmy Rollins, expressed his sympathy: “We always say we play for the rings. So why would I want to hide it? I look at it everyday. To lose it? Whew...I don't even what to say about it.”
