Although News of the World isn’t always the most reliable source of news out there, there are picture of Brand looking at engagement rings. The notorious ladies man may be ready to tie the knot – perhaps over Christmas?
The store manager confirms that Brand is looking for something “special” for his lady. “His face lit up when he saw this one diamond ring. He put it on his hand and he just gazed at it for ages, deep in contemplation,” he says.
Even though pictures show the comedian looking at diamond rings, there is no word yet on whether he made any purchase.
Brand has repeatedly told the media that he was head over heels in love with Kate, even hinting that he was having very serious thoughts about their future: “She’s the one. I’m a one-woman gentleman now. She’s really funny and gorgeous. We’re having a lot of fun.” | |

Tiger Woods’ wife has removed her wedding ring after 5 years of marriage – just a few days after Elin revealed that she planned to stay married to Tiger for the sake of their two children. She was spotted out and about without her gold band and diamond engagement ring.
The blonde Swede took the couple's two children to a Christmas party in Florida on Saturday. It was revealed that the couple was visited by the Florida Department of Children and Families earlier during the day. According to reports, agency workers wanted to check on ‘the welfare of the children.’
Tiger, 33, recently announced he will take an indefinite break from golf in a bid to save his marriage and become a “better husband, father and person.” But some reports suggest that Elin is planning a divorce next year – a rumor fueled by the removal of her wedding ring. A source said: “She's putting on a brave face but she's hurting terribly. Tiger is doing everything he can to save his marriage but I can't see them getting through this. The wounds are too deep.”

Remember those ancient Greek wedding ceremonies where the newly wed couple updated their Facebook status in real-time? No? Well, that’s because it never happened… but now it does.
After Tracy Page and Dana Hanna were officially pronounced husband and wife, Dana instantly updated his Facebook and Twitter status via his PDA.
Dana Hanna is a software developer known as “The Software Jedi”. Somehow he found time to exchange wedding rings with Tracy Page, but maybe to her chagrin. Within minutes of being pronounced ‘man and wife’, Hanna pulled out his smartphone and began to social network.
“Standing at the altar with @TracyPage where just a second ago, she became my wife! Gotta go, time to kiss my bride,” he Tweeted.
When the celebrant (who knew about the Tweet plan ahead of time) announced that “Dana is updating his relationship status on Facebook,” the room burst into collective laughter.
Hanna published a short video of the event on YouTube. He has already received nearly 90,000 views thus far.

|  | Roman Polanski Still In Jail To Pay Bail
Wed, December 2nd 2009, 17:28 EST | | It looks like notorious director Roman Polanski will be held in jail for at least three more days because he needs time to pay his staggering $4.5 million bail, Swiss authorities revealed on Tuesday.
All other conditions have been met to allow the 76-year-old auteur to be placed under house arrest at his Alpine chalet. The bail transfer is expected in the next few days said Ministry spokesman Folco Galli.
During his house arrest, Polanski will be fitted with an electronic monitoring bracelet. He will not be allowed to leave his house in Gstaad until Switzerland decides whether or not to extradite him to the U.S. for sentencing.
Polanski’s bail is set for $4.5 million, which he must pay in full.
Roman has been held in Swiss custody since his arrest on September 26. He travelled to Zurich to receive a lifetime achievement award and was subsequently apprehended. The courts in Los Angeles want him returned for sentencing for a crime he committed over 31 years ago.
On Monday, Polanski was visited in jail by his lawyer Lorenz Erni and French diplomat Jean-Luc Faure-Tournaire. Faure-Tournaire said Polanski was in "good spirits" and satisfied with how he has been treated.

If you’re in the market for a cell phone, there are a few new options if you have some extra money. Legendary phone designer Stuart Hughes worked with Davide De Nizza to create a special line called the “Diamond Blackberry Vintage Edition”. The phone is embedded with VS1 black and white diamonds. The back of the phone is covered in Indonesian python skin, and the front has python-skin accents. Because of the rarity of the Indonesian python, and to make the phone more alluring to collectors, only 10 of these phones will be produced, and each will cost just over $7,500.

Oprah made the announcement on the Friday broadcast of her hit show. She fought back tears as she explained her decision to the audience. “Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit,” she confessed.
The Oprah Winfrey Show first aired on September 8, 1986. In the beginning she primarily discussed relationships and typical talk show fodder. During the late 90s, her show changed focus and began incorporating spirituality and human interest stories.
In 1993, Michael Jackson gave his first television in more than a decade. He invited Oprah to his home at Neverland for the 90-minute interview that was seen by more than 100 million people around the world.
In 2004, for her 19th season premiere, Oprah gave each member in her audience the keys to a brand new Pontiac G6.

The duo has teamed up with top British Jeweler Asprey to release a series of serpent-themed designs, which include earrings, pendants, bangles, rings, silver spoons and an egg cup.
Being the charitable pair they are, Brad and Angelina will give 100% of the net proceeds to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. Already, the couple has donated $1 million in June 2008 through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
The inspiration for the jewelry comes from the time Angelina was pregnant with daughter Shiloh in 2006. She was given a gift that was to serve as a protective guardian – a snake ring. “Since then she has seen the snake symbol as a protective talisman for her family,” says a source at Asprey.
The jewelry line started as something for children, but has gradually developed into the limited edition Protector Collection of high end jewelry. However, the collection still includes items for children, including a tooth box and silver egg cup.
