Thu, February 4th 2010, 12:40 EST | | Well, if this story doesn’t break your heart, yours is probably made of stone. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Madonna and her boyfriend, model Jesus Luz, have broken up. Looks like the grossly mismatched pair won’t be exchanging wedding rings after all.
Madonna and Jesus started dating a little over a year ago, not long after Madonna split up with Sherlock Holes director Guy Richie.
According to reports, it was the 23-year-old Jesus who instigated the break-up with 51-year-old Madonna because they didn’t have enough common interests. Although, one interest they both shared was a love for Kabballah.
Jesus recently told Interview Magazine how he came to be known as Jesus: “My father [gave me] my name because he always admired Jesus Christ as the most philosophical mind of all time. So, when he named me, in his heart and his head, he made a deal, like, ‘I’m going to name you Jesus so everything good in life is going to come to you because they’re going to make the homage to Jesus.’ It’s a very special name. My name is ‘Luz,’ too, which means ‘light.’ So I feel like if I have this name that’s so special, I should attract good energy.”
Despite the break-up, Madonna is still investing $1 million into Brazilian coconut water, which she was introduced to by Jesus. According to US reports, Madonna takes the water everywhere she goes, drinking copious amounts after her challenging workouts. It is claimed that the water is a ‘fountain of youth’ that can ‘turn back the clocks’.
But Madonna isn’t the only one investing in this supposedly magical elixir. Demi Moore and Matthew McConaughey are also reportedly said to be investors in the Vita Coco.

|  | Kristen Bell Shows Off Engagement Ring
Tue, February 2nd 2010, 12:40 EST | | Actress Kristen Bell and her boyfriend, actor Dax Shepard, are engaged. The couple have been dating for several years, starting soon after Dax and then-girlfriend Kate Hudson broke up. Bell and Shepard are currently co-starring in When in Rome.
According to Us Magazine, Shepard, 35, proposed to Bell, 29, over the holidays. During Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, Bell presented and took the opportunity to show off her stunning diamond engagement ring. The ring, designed by Neil Lane, is made up of a fancy-colored emerald cut diamond over 3 carats. It is set in platinum with small white diamond accents.
The couple began dating in 2007, after Bell broke it off with her then-fiance Kevin Mann. Before dating Bell, Shepard dated Jessica Simpson and Kate Hudson.
Bell, who has starred in Heroes and Veronica Mars, just wrapped her part in the forthcoming Burlesque alongside Cher and Christina Aguilera. Shepard will star in NBC’s forthcoming series Parenthood with Lauren Graham.

Mon, February 1st 2010, 08:15 EST | | The 52nd annual Grammy Awards were as exciting as ever, with three diverse divas battling it out. Beyonce Knowles, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga were all nominated for various Grammys, and they didn’t leave empty-handed.
Beyonce, 28, went into the ceremony with 10 nominations. She walked away winning 6 Grammys, more than anyone else in the evening. She won all the R&B categories, Song of the Year for “Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for the song “Halo.”
Beyonce perfomed her hit single “If I Were A Boy,” accompanied by a funky band and back-up dancers dressed like a cross between soldiers and stormtroopers. She also included a bit of Alanis Morissette’s big single “You Oughta Know” in the mix.
Swift, 20, walked away with the show’s highest honor – Album of the Year – beating out Beyonce and Lady Gaga.
During her acceptance speech, Swift could barely contain herself: “Oh my God! Our families are freaking out in their living rooms right now. . . . When we're 80-years-old and telling the same stories over and over again to our grandkids ... this is the story we'll be telling over and over again. That in 2010 we got to win album of the year at the Grammys!”
Swift, who was nominated for 8 awards, also won Best Female Country Vocal Performance, Best Country Album and Best Country Song for her song “White Horse.” She also had a chance to perform with one of her idols – Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks. The duo performed Swift’s “You Belong To Me,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon,” and “Today Was a Fairytale.” Swift was dressed beautifully, complete with twelve carat diamond pendant earrings custom made by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira. | |

Thu, January 7th 2010, 10:41 EST | | It appears that England’s biggest playboy, Russell Brand, is retiring the single life. He’s found love… and her name is Katy Perry. Brand supposedly popped the question and presented an engagement ring to the pop singer during a spiritual ceremony on New Year’s Eve in India.
During December, Russell was spotted shopping at a London jewelers for the perfect engagement ring. Brand ended up purchasing a large, square-cut diamond set in a platinum band.
He allegedly told a friend: “Katy's managed to tame me. This is it - I'm completely in love.” On Boxing Day, Brand Twitted: “Tonight I turned off my famous, hedonistic hot-tub, a monumental event. I did it for climate change. In every sense.”
The couple has been dating since September 2009, when they met backstage at an MTV event.
On December 29, Perry shared a snapshot of her and Brand in front of India's famed Taj Mahal. “He built this for me,” she wrote as the caption beneath the photo.
The exotic trip to India “was his Christmas gift” to Perry says a source. “She told him how much she loved Indian culture while they were eating curry in England, so he surprised her.”

|  | American Idol Star Jason Castro Is Married
Mon, January 4th 2010, 13:24 EST | | Jason Castro, the 22-year-old dreadlocked singer-songwriter from American Idol, exchanged wedding rings with girlfriend Mandy Mayhall in his hometown near Dallas.
Castro was a contestant on season 7 of American Idol. He ended up finishing in fourth place.
Castro and Mayhall confirmed their engagement in November. Supposedly, Castro proposed on Halloween, while the pair was dressed up as characters from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Earlier this week, the Castro had a bachelor party that included bowling, poker and pool. He tweeted about the event: “Bachelor partayyyy!!! Bowling Poker and pool all in the same room!”
Castro Tweeted yesterday about the marriage: “Yesterday I married the girl of my dreams. It couldn't have been more perfect! Now, honeymoooon!!! :)”
On January 12, Castro will release an EP entitled The Love Uncompromised on Atlantic Records. In the spring he will release as still untitled full-length album. Later this month, Castro will kick off a tour.

Wed, December 30th 2009, 15:41 EST | | Johnathon Schaech has done one of the most romantic things a man can do over the holidays – he gave his girlfriend, One Tree Hill star Jana Rae Kramer, an engagement ring. As if that wasn’t sweet enough, he has posted a video of the proposal on Facebook.
To make the engagement truly special, Schaech reserved an entire ice-skating ring. While the pair was skating, Schaech asked Kramer to be his wife.
Schaech told PEOPLE: “It was the best present ever. It was the happiest moment of my life. I can't wait to make Jana my wife and have a family.” Over the weekend, the excited Schaech Tweeted: “flying back to LA with my FIANCE!!!!!!!!!”
Schaech, 40, was formerly married to Christina Applegate. They divorced in 2007. Schaech started dating 26 year old Kramer while shooting the 2008 horror film Prom Night.

|  | Carrie Underwood’s Engagement Ring Is One Of A Kind
Mon, December 28th 2009, 09:44 EST | | Recently it was revealed that singer Carrie Underwood was engaged to Ottawa Senator Mike Fisher. Well, the bulky engagement ring Carrie proudly displayed Monday night at the Ottawa Senators game is truly a jewel to behold. The value of the ring, however, is difficult to gauge – as different experts have provided differing opinions.
A rep at New York’s Diamond Information Center said that the five Carat round diamond engagement ring, complete with diamond side stones, is worth a small fortune - more that $150,000.
However, according to Mo Charania, a gemologist and owner of Jubilee Jewelers, it seems the ring is at least three carats - possibly more - and is certainly valued at six figures.
“It's a centre round diamond and one row of diamonds around it called micro pave,” Charania confirmed after viewing photos of the ring. “I'd say the ring is worth well into six figures, but it depends on the quality of the stone,” he added.
It seems likely that Fisher bought his bride-to-be the engagement ring through a private jeweler or at a U.S. jewelry store that specializes in fine-quality jewelry.
Fisher and Underwood got engaged Sunday, after dating for 3 years. Underwood displayed her ring for the first time at that night's game against the Boston Bruins.

Thu, December 24th 2009, 04:44 EST | | One of Hollywood’s most beloved couples, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, have ended their 23 year relationship. The couple have two sons - Jack Henry, 20, and Miles Guthrie, 17.
Although Sarandon and Robbins never exchanged wedding rings, they truly seemed as though they were in it for the long run. In a statement released on Wednesday, publicist Teal Cannady revealed that the pair split this summer. She did not elaborate.
Sarandon, 63, and Robbins, 51, met in 1988 while shooting the film Bull Durham.
Sarandon has stared in such memorable films like Thelma and Louise and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In 1996 she won an Oscar for her role in Dead Man Walking. The film was directed by Robbins.
Robbins won an Academy Award for his role in 2003's Mystic River, directed by Clint Eastwood.
In addition to the couple's sons, Susan has a daughter, Eva Amurri, from a previous relationship. Amurri recently starred in Showtime’s hit show Californication, along side David Duchovny. | |

Sun, December 20th 2009, 14:21 EST | | Kevin Jonas, one-third of the Disney rock trio The Jonas Brothers, married his girlfriend of two years, Danielle Deleasa, on Saturday afternoon. The couple exchanged wedding rings in an outdoor ceremony right before a huge blizzard ravaged Long island.
The event took place in Cold Spring Harbor at Oheka Castle – a nearly 100-year-old French-style chateau. In attendance were the 22-year-old groom’s brothers, best men and bandmates, Joe and Nick Jonas, and Disney entertainer Demi Lovato. About 400 relatives and friends attended.
Jonas met his bride, a 23-year-old ex-hairdresser, during a family vacation to the Bahamas two years ago. He surprised her last July by showing up on her New Jersey doorstep with a three-carat solitaire cushion-cut diamond surrounded by 210 round, brilliant-cut pave diamonds. He designed the ring himself, with help from Jacob the Jeweler. “She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row,” he reminisced.

|  | Jon And Kate Gosselin Will Remain Married Until 2010
Thu, December 17th 2009, 13:53 EST | | It looks like Jon and Kate Gosselin will remain married until next year, as they are currently waiting on a final divorce decree. A lawyer for Jon says the reality star couple’s divorce is unlikely to be finalized until early next year. I guess the Gosselins will be spending the New Year as a married couple.
Jon and Kate exchanged wedding rings in 2009. It was announced on the June 22, 2009 episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 that the couple was separating, and that divorce proceedings had begun. The duo has been married for over 10 years.
Mark Jay Heller, Jon’s lawyer, revealed that the arbiter's decisions on custody and finances are “a work in progress.” He says the couple has not signed off on it, but that the arbiter's decisions will be final.
In related news, it seems that Jon may be broke. Last week, TLC was granted an injunction that forced Jon to stop making public appearances. According to a source, the injunction dealt a serious blow to Jon’s financial situation.
“Jon's in pretty serious financial trouble because his plan for making money was shut down in court. He has warned his lawyers that he can't pay them and if he doesn't succeed against TLC, he will have no funds. He's even gone so far as to say that if they want to be paid, they will have to sue him,” the source revealed.
Jon’s lawyers are part of a father and son team. They were introduced to Gosselin by Michael Lohan, Linday Lohan’s father, claims the source.
“Mark and Mike Heller were brought in because Michael Lohan was involved, and he convinced them to join Jon's team early on in the summer. Lohan wanted to latch onto Jon and involved many people he knew. He convinced them Jon was going to have a successful career after the show.” | |
